Cassius Ledley, 81

Cassius D. “Buck” Ledley, 81, of New Hampshire, passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born July 20, 1930, in Union County, the son of the late Laura A. Vanest and Jasper N. Ledley. On June 4, 1950, in Delaware County, he married Ida Irene Kuba and she preceded him in death.
He is survived by a son, Michael (Linda Fout) Ledley, of Jackson Center, three daughters, Linda (Charles) Gerstner, of Botkins, Manetta (Neal) Obringer, of New Hampshire, and Marilyn (John) Metz, of Wapakoneta; nine grandchildren, Greg Sneary, Manetta Lynn Shoup, Angie Ledley, Nick Ledley, Priscilla Gerstner, Christopher Gerstner, Laurie Gerstner, Jessica Metz and Ashley Metz; seven great-grandchildren, Andrew Ledley, Jaela Shoup, Jaden Shoup, Hope Newland, Tiffany Gerstner, Jaden Gerstner, and Garyn Sneary; a sister-in-law, Pam Bullock; a brother-in-law, Steve Sneary; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Clarabelle Kuba; three brothers-in-law, Lewis Kuba, Earnest Kuba, and Emerson Taylor; and a sister-in-law, Sarah Crockett.
Buck was retired from ScotLad Foods in Lima, where he worked for 20 years. He enjoyed watching Nascar and baseball.
Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Shoffstall Funeral Home in Lakeview. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in New Hampshire.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
