Carol Marie Jordan, 76, of Wapakoneta, died 10:05 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2011, at Wapakoneta Manor.
She was born Feb. 19, 1935, in Evanston, Ill., the daughter of Marie and Howard Schooley, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 15, 1962, she married Harold K. Jordan, and he died April 4, 1984.
Survivors include four sons, Charles (Shannan) Jordan, of Lima, Thomas (Angie) Jordan, of Urbana, Timothy (Shannon) Jordan, of Cridersville, John (Becky) Jordan, of Wapakoneta; four grandchildren, John Jordan Jr., Malia Jordan, Leighanna Jordan, and Matthew Taylor; three step-grandchildren, Jessica (Spencer) Deaton, Jennifer (Andy) Briggs, and Jacklyn (Jeremy) Barnes; four step- great-grandchildren, Abby Patrick, Jasmine and Jaylyn Barnes, and Xzavier Briggs; and a twin sister, Barbara (James) Cooper, of Lima.
A homemaker, Carol worked as a home health aide with Helping Hands. She also was an Avon representative for many years. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Wapakoneta, and a 1954 graduate of Lima Central High School. She loved spending time her family and enjoyed her pet cats and watching movies.
Services are at 11 a.m. at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Mark Bauer officiating. Burial is to follow in the Preston Cemetery, near Alger.
Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
