C. Donald Douglas, 68, of Wapakoneta, died at 1 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at his son’s home in Wapakoneta.
He was born April 27, 1943, in Long Hollow, W. Va., the son of Hattie May (Thornton) and Miner Cecil Douglas, who preceded him in death. On April 20, 1969, he married Nelia Lou Hudnall, and she died July 30, 2008.
Surviving are two sons, Wayne (Amy) Douglas, of St. Marys, Brock (Nicole) Douglas, of Wapakoneta; three grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew and Danielle; three brothers, Archie (Shirley) Douglas, of Red House, W. Va., Franklin (Connie) Douglas, of Hometown, W. Va., Keith (Janet) Douglas, Ridge, W. Va.; a sister Janet Douglas, Nitro, W. Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Scott Douglas; two sisters, Arbutis Douglas and Norma Holloway; and two brothers, Cecil Douglas and Park Douglas.
Don had worked 16 ½ years at Frost Roofing, and then 23 ½ years at Whitefeather Foods, both of Wapakoneta. A member of the American Pool Players Association., his hobbies included shooting pool, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Services are at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
