Bylaws pass Fair vote

November 4, 2013

Auglaize County Agricultural Society members swept in new rules and regulations for the organization’s by-laws and re-elected an entire slate of incumbent directors running for re-election to the board.
Forty-two people cast ballots in the Junior Fair Building at the Auglaize County Fairgrounds and passed four changes to sections of the Fair Board’s Constitution with the most significant change affecting when annual memberships can be sold.
With the passage of the one change, membership certificates now cannot be sold five days prior to the county fair and the sale of memberships cannot start selling them again until midnight after the last day of the fair. They can be sold the rest of the year.
There were three minor changes including memberships could only be sold to individuals, who must be 18 years or older, and could not be sold to corporations.
