Brown backs Troop Talent Act
For one U.S. legislator, he cannot believe a soldier who drives a truck in Iraq cannot transfer those skills automatically into a CDL in the United States.
He cannot believe a soldier who works on trucks and tanks cannot receive automatic certification to work on cars stateside.
He cannot believe a medic who worked to save a soldier’s life during a military operation cannot easily transition into an EMT or paramedic certification in the country he devoted his life.
Democratic U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown recently voiced his support of the Troop Talent Act which helps soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan to more easily transition into the civilian work force.
