BOWLING: Loschetter wins PBA’s Wintzer Classic

Chris Loschetter, of Avon, won the inaugural G.A. Winzter & Son PBA Central Region Classic on Saturday and Sunday at Astro Lanes in Wapakoneta.
Loschetter defeated Dearborn, Mich.’s Jeffrey Roche 216-198 in the championship match.
Roche bested Munster, Ind.’s Eugene McCune 259-179 for the second spot.
Wapakoneta’s Todd Book finished 13th overall.
Book was first after Saturday qualifying with 1,899 pins. He edged Rhino Page, of Dade City, Fla. (1,897) and Loschetter (1,884) for the top spot.
Wapakoneta High School senior Anthony Kennard, a member of the Redskins state runner-up bowling team, placed 29th.
Also from Wapak, Dan Ruck was 37th and Mike Moore finished 50th.
Loschetter claimed the $3,000 winner’s purse for his efforts.
