Board preps for November

August 14, 2014

Prepping for the Nov. 4 general election has commenced.

The Auglaize County Board of Elections met Wednesday morning to take action on a number of items dealing with precincts, precinct election officials, or PEOs, and upcoming training for PEOs.

An idea presented by the Ohio Secretary of State, Jon Husted, is being implemented by the board for this election.

The position of a multi-precinct voting location manager was approved for the New Bremen polling location which consists of three precincts.

Director of the Board of Elections, Michelle Wilcox said when attending the summer meeting this option was brought up and it was presented to the board yesterday.

“The board has voted to approve that we use one (multi-precinct voting location manager) in the New Bremen polling location,” Wilcox said. “We’re just trying it in one small polling location first.”
