Betty L. Schroer, 88, 519 Westhaven Drive, New Bremen, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011 at Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster.
She was born on Jan. 21, 1923, in St. Marys, the daughter of Malinda (Gieseke) and Virgil Horn. On Sept. 25, 1955, she married Curtis Schroer who survives in New Bremen.
Also surviving are a son, Dwight Schroer, of New Bremen; and a daughter, Kathleen Aufderhaar, of Bluffton.
Services are at 2 p.m. Friday at German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen, with the Rev. Stephen Wills officiating.
Contributions may be given to the Friends of the New Bremen Public Library. Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen is handling the arrangements.
