Bernard E. â€śBudâ€ť McClintock, 82, of Wapakoneta, died at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012, at the Cridersville Healthcare Center.
He was born July 20, 1929, in Lima, the son of Edna (Brubaker) and John McClintock, who preceded him in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Cathy (Rick) Oâ€™Neill, of Wapakoneta; three grandchildren, twins Ryan and Kaitlyn â€śKatiâ€ť Oâ€™Neill, and Dillon â€śD.J.â€ť Oâ€™Neill; and a sister, Delores Taylor.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Neth.
Bud worked as a salesman at Nickles Bakery in Lima. He later drove a school bus at Spencerville Schools and retired from Shawnee Schools. He also worked at WCIT, Lima. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served in Korea. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 8445, and the American Legion Post 330, both of Wapakoneta. He was also a member of the Wapakoneta Eagles 691, and a HAM radio operator. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and attending his grandchildrenâ€™s dance recitals and soccer games.
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, State Route 501, Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Joy Miller officiating.
Burial will be Monday at St. Matthew Cemetery near Cridersville, where military rites will be conducted by the Wapakoneta V.F.W.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
