Becky Grillot, 47

Becky Ann Metz Grillot, 47, Townline-Lima Road, Wapakoneta, died at 9.25 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, after being seriously ill for a year.
She was born April 4, 1964, in Sidney, the daughter of Lois Ann (Schmidt) and William Wayne Metz, who survive in Jackson Center. On July 2, 1988, at St. Remy Church in Russia, she married Andrew James Grillot and he survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Jodi Grillot, Amy Grillot, and Vicki Grillot, all at home; two brothers, Gary (Wanda Wildermuth) Metz, of Maplewood, Bruce (Kim) Metz, of Jackson Center; a father- and mother-in-law, Marion and Emily (Monnin) Grillot, of Russia; six brothers-in-law, James (Diane) Grillot, of Russia, William (Constance) Grillot, of Versailles, Charles (Lisa) Grillot, of Fort Loramie, Marion J. (Bonnie) Grillot, of Versailles, Philip (Theresa) Grillot, of Houston, Steven Grillot, of Fort Loramie; 11 sisters-in-law, Jane LaLoge, of Piqua, Sharon (Joe) Morelock, of Piqua, Kathleen (Michael) Magato, of Russia, Marjorie (Kenneth) Gaier, of Minster, Elaine (Gregory) Bergman, of Versailles, Carolyn (Philip) Eilerman, of Fort Loramie, Emily (Paul) Turner, of Fort Loramie, Anna Cruz, of Versailles, Julie (Dan) Knoop, of Sidney, Jennifer (Andrew) Busse, of Russia, Jacqueline (Tracy) Fraizier, of Russia, Ragina (Mark) Hoying, of Ruussia, Beth Bell, of Russia, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Donald Cisco, and a niece, Maria Busse.
She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Rhine. She was a past member of the St. Lawrence Mother’s Club and Ladies Sodality. A 1982 graduate of Jackson Center High School, she went on to study business administration at Northwestern University in Lima. She was employed by Botkins Local School were she had been a librarian and secretary.
She enjoyed following her daughters’ activities. She was an avid reader, took a lot of pictures, loved camping and an occasional chocolate. She will also be remembered for her contagious smile.
Mass of Christian Burial is at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church in Botkins, with the Rev. Patrick Sloneker officiating. Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Botkins.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
Contributions may be given to the Becky Grillot Scholarship Fund or the charity of donor’s choice.
