Beau Kepler

Beau Robert Kepler, 43, of Barberton, formerly of Wapakoneta, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at his parent’s Barberton residence.
He was born Jan. 17, 1969, in Barberton, to Irene (Winkler) and John Kepler, who survive him in Wapakoneta.
Also surviving are the love of his life, Laura (Hrabusa) Kepler; a daughter, Alexandra Kepler; two sons, Jacob Kepler and Caleb Kepler; a brother and sister-in-law, Marc and Krystal (Butcher) Kepler; two nephews, Luke Kepler and Owen Kepler; paternal grandmother, Rita (Kepler) Young; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William B. Kepler, and Theresa and Stephen Winkler.
Beau was a 1987 graduate of Norton High School. He attended Ashland College and transferred to the University of Akron where he played football on a full scholarship for three years. He also played football for the Canton Wolfpack and in the European League for the Upsala Panthers in Sweden. Beau was an entrepreneur who owned and managed many Akron University-area properties. In addition to having a beautiful smile, an engaging personality, and a tremendous repertoire of facts and knowledge ranging from sports to history, music, media, politics, travel and locale, he also was an avid practitioner of physical conditioning and training, and a gourmet cook.
A Mass of Christian Burial is at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204 Sixth St. NW, Barberton. Private family interment will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
