Beatrice Young, 95

Beatrice C. Young, 95, formerly of 323 S. Walnut St., New Bremen, died at 8:54 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011, at the Otterbein of St. Marys.
She was born on October 31, 1915, in Yellow Springs, the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. C. Harold Clerke.
On Sept. 22, 1938, she married S. Chester Young and he died on Oct. 1, 1982.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas (Cindy) Young, of Erlanger, Ky., and William (Cindy) Young, of New Bremen; and a daughter, Beatrice Ann Young of Valdez, Ark.
Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, with the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Burial at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney will be at a later date.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m.. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the church memorial fund, the friends of the New Bremen Library, the Otterbein of St. Marys Partners Appreciation Fund or to the Grand Lake Hospice.
