Beatrice Behr, 93

Beatrice “Bea” Everhart Behr, 93, of Fryburg, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born March 28, 1919, in Green County, Tennessee, the daughter of Lillie P. (Stroud) and James F. Gillette, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 6, 1937, she married Paul T. Everhart, and he died Nov. 9, 1984. On May 1, 1999, she married Wilbur C. Behr, and he survives.
Also surviving are a son, James (Ginny) Everhart, of Wapakoneta; two daughters, Vergie (Gary) Truesdale, of Spencerville, and Vicki (Gary) Hefner, of Westminster; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; six step-sons, Melvin (Linda) Behr, of Wapakoneta, Eugene Behr, of Wapakoneta, Jerry (Jewel) Behr, of Cartersville, Ga., Norman (Kim) Behr, of Wapakoneta, Nelson Behr, of Columbus, and Dennis (Karen) Behr, of Troy; two step-daughters, Donna (Dennis) Steinke, of Wapakoneta, and Carol (Dan) Hemmert, of Sidney; a step-daughter-in-law, Pat Behr, of St. Marys; 30 step-grandchildren; 39 step-great grandchildren; two sisters, Pearl Ashley, of Morristown, Tenn., and Huberta Smith, of Morristown, Tenn.; a brother, James (Ruth) Gillette, of Lima; and a sister-in-law, QV Gillette, of Morristown, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by a step-son, Virgil Behr; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Fred (Bernice) Gillette, Charles (Ruby) Gillette, and Bob Gillette; sisters and brothers-in-law, Flora (Jim) Drinnon, Cleo (Estel) Snowden, Jenny (Pete) Dawson, and Wanda McNeal; and two brothers-in-law, Paul Ashley and Bill Smith.
A homemaker, Bea was a member of the Wapakoneta Baptist Church. Her hobbies included bowling, dancing, traveling, crocheting and painting.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Eric McDunnell Sr. officiating.
Burial is to follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton.
Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday and 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
