Barbara Kowell, 72

Barbara Ann Kowell, 72, of Chesterfield, died Wednesday at Community Hospital in Anderson after an extended illness.
She was born March 28, 1939, in Lima, the daughter of Eva May Neal and Orval Ambler.
Surviving are her loving husband of 53 years: Stephen C. Kowell, of Chesterfield; a son, Jeff (Lisa) Kowell, of Indianapolis; three daughters, Vickie (Bob) Donelson, of New Whiteland, Valerie (Bert) Everhart, of Lima, Kim Smith, of Frankilin; a sister, Jessie C. Beech, of Wapakoneta, 12 grandchildren, Michael, Stephen, Tyler, Jessica, Beth, Angela, Matthew, Stuart, Sarah, Sammie, Mitchell, Gracie; three great- grandchildren, Ainsley, Abram, and Carter; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She worked at Arts Cleaners in Gardena Calif. in the early 1970s then at Grandview Cleaners in Wapakoneta. She retired from Stoops Express as a payroll clerk in 1997.
She loved bingo, slots, football and the Bee Gees.
Friends may call on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Daleville.
There will be no public services. Cremation will follow.
A memorial service will be held in Lima at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Wheeler Mission in Indianapolis.
