Urban forester Alan Siewart provided his opinions of the conditions of trees along West Auglaize Street on Tuesday during a walk through of the site.

Siewart was brought in at the recommendation of urban forester Stephanie Miller, who has been working with the city on their tree program. Both Siewart and Miller work for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry.

The purpose of Siewart’s visit, as well as Miller’s previous work, was to evaluate the various trees that line the street between Blackhoof and Pearl streets in regard to the upcoming reconstruction of the street beginning in 2015.
