Astro Lanes sold

After 35 years heading a local entertainment venue, a Wapakoneta businessman is stepping down and turning over the business to a younger man.

Astro Bowling Lanes owner Denny Borgert is selling his shares of the bowling alley and restaurant to Dave Jeanneret for an undisclosed amount of money. Jeanneret will assume control of the establishment on Jan. 7.

“The reason for this move being made is I had a gentlemen tell me years ago — a matter of fact it was Bruce Roser who was in business for a long time and very good customer of ours — and he told me when the time comes to get out of the business you will know it and Joyce and I, we know it,” Borgert said. “We have been here 35 years almost to this date.
