Alma Flarida, 99

Alma Lee Flarida, 99, of Cridersville, died at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Cridersville Health Care Center.
She was born April 23, 1913, in Delphos, the daughter of the late Molly (Underwood) and Ora Barrett. On Sept. 21, 1927 she married Paul William Flarida, who died August 1991.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Eugene Flarida, of Lima, and William David (Betty) Flarida, of Wapakoneta; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Hook, of Indianapolis, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Eberhart, of Lima.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Clint Flarida; a great granddaughter, Kaylee Putnam; three brothers; and three sisters.
She retired from Woolen Mills and Madison Ladies Clothing Store and Coca Cola. She was a member of the First church of God at the Cross Roads. She enjoyed sewing, reading, traveling with her family and all the grandchildren.
Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville, with the Rev. Randy Bargerstock officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, in Lima.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
