Airport projects on track

June 11, 2014

NEW KNOXVILLE — The Auglaize County Airport Authority discussed plans for two major projects during a regular board meeting Tuesday night at the terminal building of the Neil Armstrong Airport.

Airport Manager Sean Stroh said airport officials are still in the planning stages for a crack-seal runway project set to begin in September 2014, and an airport terminal and storage facility expansion project that will be constructed beginning in 2016, with completion in 2017.

Stroh said they are concentrating their efforts first on the crack-sealing program and have opened up the project for bidding. Bids will be due into the Auglaize County Commissioner’s office by June 17 at 1:30 p.m.
