Airport manager resigns

Sean Stroh resigned Tuesday as manager of the Neil Armstrong Airport.

Stroh’s resignation is effective Aug. 22.

According his resignation letter submitted to the Board of County Commissioners of Auglaize County, Stroh is taking a position in the private sector.

John Bergman, president of the board of county commissioners, said Tuesday that the position will be advertised in area newspapers and on the county’s website.

Airport ground support services person Matthew Bailey accepted the position of interim manager, effective at 5 p.m. Aug. 22, when Stroh leaves. Bailey will serve in that capacity until a new manager is found or until he no longer wants the position. His pay will be increased to $16.50 per hour.

Stroh said in his letter that he “will miss this position and the great relationships that have been built here in Auglaize County.” He also thanked commissioners for their support and the opportunities he had been provided during the last seven years.
