Abby L. Thuman, 25, of Wapakoneta, died Wednesday evening, March 6, 2013, at her residence.

She was born Oct. 18, 1987, in Lima, the daughter of Cheryl (Walker) and Gene Thuman, who survive in Wapakoneta.  

Also surviving are a son, Parker J. Thuman, at home; four siblings, Tina Barnard, of Wapakoneta, Molly (Jason) Place, of Wapakoneta, Jodi (Gary) Schleter, of Wapakoneta, and Pete Thuman, of Wapakoneta; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Abby worked as a STNA at Wapakoneta Manor. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta and was a 2006 graduate of Wapakoneta Senior High School. 

She enjoyed riding horses, and had shown horses and dogs with 4-H at the fair. She had participated in volleyball and softball, and enjoyed playing cards. Abby loved her job at Wapakoneta Manor, but most especially was a loving and caring mother to Parker. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Patrick Sloneker officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Wapakoneta.

The family will receive friends 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta.

Memorial contributions may be directed to a memorial fund established for her son, Parker J. Thuman.
