Then the bubble shifted.
Wapakoneta Redskins sophomore forward Sara Warner scored the lone goal of the night to lead the Redskins to a 1-0 win over the Defiance Bulldogs in a Western Buckeye League girls soccer match at Ryan Field.
Eight minutes into the second half, Warner streaked down the left side of the field and fired a shot across the front of the goal, past the outstretched arms of Defiance goalkeeper Brittany Froelich, and into the right side of the net.

Already tasked with reining in $1.5 trillion from the federal budget, a freshman Congressman says it is dangerous for the country and wrong for President Barack Obama to saddle the committee with a jobs bill that adds nearly $450 billion more to the deficit.
Republican U.S. Sen. Rob Portman criticized the president for making a tough job in cutting the budget even more difficult with the unveiling of his âAmerican Jobs Act,â which is a jobs bill and stimulus package.
An Auglaize County Election Board policy amended in August has been rescinded.

Time to shift gears.
Last week it was Bathâs bruising back Aaron Smith.
Friday night it will be Celina Bulldogs quarterback Braden Billger and his arsenal of weapons.
The spread offense is coming back to Harmon Field when the 3-0 Wapakoneta Redskins host 0-3 Celina in a Week 4 Western Buckeye League matchup.
And the Redskins defense could have its hands full with Billger.
The junior quarterback has thrown for 820 yards on 70 of 124 (56.5 percent) with seven touchdowns and three interceptions already this season.
He has thrown scoring strikes to four different receivers.
WAYNESFIELD â As has been the case for several years now, the game between NWCC foes Waynesfield-Goshen and Fairbanks has determined the league title. This year, it appears to be no different.
âAbsolutely,â Waynesfield coach Gary Spencer said. âThe road to a league title goes through Fairbanks. The kids know that. They are a great football program.â
