Brody A. Osborne, 62, of rural Wapakoneta, died at 6:40 p.m. Monday, July 4, 2011, at St. Ritaâ€™s Medical Center, in Lima following a sudden illness.
He was born July 8, 1948, in Martin, Ky., the son of Opal (Amburgey)and Raymond Osborne, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 29, 2006, he married Debra K. Brown, and she survives.
H. LaVerne Wertz, 89, of Wapakoneta, died 12:18 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at St. Ritaâ€™s Medical Center in Lima.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta.
Jonathan R. â€śJonâ€ť Shively, 40, of Cridersville, died at 10:33 a.m. Sunday, July 3, 2011, at Lima Memorial Health Systems.
He was born Sept. 27, 1970, in Lima, the son of Sandra S. (Klinger) and William J. Shively. On June 27, 1998, he married Gina C. Lawrence and she survives in Lima.
Surviving are a son, Brady John Shively, of Cridersville; and a daughter, Caitlin Susanne Shively, of Cridersville.
Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Perry High School in Lima, with the Rev. David Brookhart offciating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Phillip M. Lewis, 55, 117 S. Main St., St. Marys, died June 25, 2011.
He was born Sept. 5, 1955, in Celina, the son of Raymond K. and Nora (Colwell) Lewis.
Surviving are a daughter, Mahala Lewis, of Savannah, Ga.
Services are at 7 p.m. Thursday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home in St.Marys, with the Rev. John Mobley officiating.
Friends may call from 6:30 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Addison Lynn Berner, 6, 301 W. Walnut St., Anna, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 4, 2011 at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 25, 2005, in Lima, the daughter of Kelly (Greve) and Tony Berner, of Anna.
Also surviving are a brother, Dylan Michael Berner; two sisters, Abigail Jean Berner and Alenah Grace Berner; paternal grandparents, Gary and Molly Berner, of Anna; maternal grandparents, Doug Greve, of Botkins and Deb Greve, of Botkins; 12 aunts and uncles; 15 cousins; and an uncountable amount of friends.
ST. MARYS â€”Â Sunny skies and calm waters brought a slew of boaters and campers to Grand Lake St. Marys State Park for the holiday weekend.
â€śIt was a good weekend,â€ť Park Manager Brian Miller said. â€śThe campground was at 90 percent occupancy, which is the best weâ€™ve seen since Memorial Day weekend. Boat traffic was well above what it was â€”Â we had people tubing, skiing and people using boaters beaches for swimming. There also was a lot of fishing, having picnics and people enjoying the area.â€ť
The Auglaize County commissioners are looking for someone to serve on the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize and Hardin Counties.
The four-year term is to replace the Rev. Steve Nelson, whose term has expired.
The boardâ€™s mission is to â€śreach out and provide vital prevention and treatment services to every resident,â€ť board Executive Director Mike Schoenhofer said
The Cridersville Firemenâ€™s Jamboree will include something for everyone of all ages this Friday and Saturday, as event organizers work to make it bigger and better each year.
This will be the 47th year for the Jamboree, and Cridersville Fire Chief Ron Mertz said there will be fun for all ages at this annual fundraiser for the fire department.
â€śItâ€™s a neat event for everyone, and there is a little bit of everything for everyone,â€ť Mertz said. â€śItâ€™s a small-town type of atmosphere, but has a great feel.â€ť

Debra Jean Hensley, 56, of 511 South Beech Street, Saint Marys, was found dead on Saturday, July 2, 2011, at her residence.
She was born January 2, 1955, in Saint Marys, the daughter of Virgil â€śJackâ€ť and M. Jean (Chilcoat) Keysor.
She is also survived by her three children: Jack (Katie) Hensley of Saint Marys, Charity (Rodney) Kuck of New Knoxville, and Bryant â€śBeBopâ€ť (Chrissy) Hensley of Saint Marys.
