Ralph P. Meinerding, 89, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:55 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at The Gardens in Wapakoneta.
He was born Nov. 5, 1922, in Rose Hill, the son of Josephine (Hein) and Charles Meinerding, who preceded him in death. On June 13, 1946, he married Irene E. Staugler, and she survives.
Wapakoneta Redskins Taylor Law and Josie Miller posted the best individual results of the day for the Redskins at the 10th Annual St. Francis Knight Invitational varsity swim meet last weekend in Bowling Green and Toledo.
For Wapak, Law and Miller each recorded a sixth-place finish on Saturday. Law took the spot in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:06.10. Miller was sixth in the 50 freestyle at 25.61.
Law also posted a 10th-place finish in the 100 butterfly (1:04.11). Miller was 20th in the 100 backstroke (1:08.25).
Charles Hugh Frederick Sr., 74, of Wapakoneta, died at 5:40 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at Auglaize Acres.
He was born Sept. 6, 1937, in Duncanville, Ill., the son of Mary Ellen (Eveland) and Harley H. Frederick, who preceded him in death. On Feb. 5, 1955, he married Elizabeth Mae Crist, and she survives in Wapakoneta.

Elodie M. Sollman, 96, of New Bremen, died at 9:40 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at Otterbein of St. Marys.
She was born Sept. 13, 1915, in New Bremen, the daughter of Josephine G. (Bruns) and Joseph W. Lanfersieck. On Sept. 12, 1981, she married Lendor Sollman, who died on Feb. 8, 2001.
A Mass of Christian Burial is to be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen with the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial is to follow in the German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen.
