A silent auction is to benefit Mercy Unlimited while also highlighting some of the donations the thrift store receives each year.
âWeâll be auctioning close to 75 items â housewares, glassware, furniture, lamps and artwork,â said Mercy volunteer Linda Johns, who is coordinating the project.
Everything to be auctioned has been donated.
âWe receive some beautiful stuff,â Johns said. âWeâll be auctioning vintage items and antiques, plus some newer items, some of which have never been used or are still in the original box.â

Gale Elaine Miller, 65, of Lima, died at 5:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at Cleveland Clinic.
She was born July 31, 1946, in Coldwater, Mich., the daughter of Mary Lou and Dr. George Richardson.
Survivors are a daughter, Jennie (Jason) Hefner, of Wapakoneta; three grandchildren, Joshua, Jonathan Michael and Natalie; a brother, David âDocâ Richardson; and her dog, Matilda.
Elrea C. Terflinger, 85, of Wapakoneta, died 4:20 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at her daughterâs residence.
She was born July 21, 1926, in Breathitt County, Ky., the daughter of Christena (Russell) and Blake Centers, who preceded her in death. She married William C. Terflinger, and he died July 21, 1995.

She was born Oct. 7, 1925, in Allen County, the daughter of Hazel (Strayer) and Lowell Evans, who preceded her in death.
On March 6, 1943, she married Robert E. âGeneâ Graham, and he died Oct. 4, 1983.. Then on Feb. 14, 1985, she married Lawrence W. âLarryâ Dineen, and he died Dec. 24, 2010.
Survivors include, a son, Douglas Graham, of Wapakoneta.
Clifford Fairfield âCliffâ Rison, 87, of Lima, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at his residence in Lima, and joined the love of his life.
He was born June 1, 1924, to Chloe Evick Rison Rohrbacher and Clifford Gaylord Rison, in Lima.
He married Laura M. Reineke on Aug. 19, 1947, in Lima, and she died Aug. 3, 2011, after more than 65 years of everlasting love.
He attended South High School until his family moved and then attended Cridersville High School, graduating in 1942. He attended Ohio University, in Athens.
After missing half of his senior season with a knee injury, Wapakoneta Redskinsâ Colin Mankin was eager to get back on the pitch for Seniors Night.
It only took him 27 second to reacclimate himself.
Mankinâs heel-kick goal in the opening minute proved to be the only offense the Redskins would need as they rolled to a 5-0 shutout win over the Kenton Wildcats in a Western Buckeye League varsity boys soccer match Thursday at Ryan Field.
