A winter storm is barreling down on the region, bringing the chance for close to a foot of snow to Auglaize County.
National Weather Service meteorologists have issued a winter storm warning for the county, effective through Wednesday morning.
Auglaize County EMA Director Troy Anderson said nailing down a definitive snowfall prediction is difficult because
there are two fronts coming together, with Auglaize County in the middle.
With the Auglaize County Fair less than five months away, organizers took the time Monday to thank those who make the 4-H program a success each year.

Robert F. Henry, 90, of Lima, died at 11:49 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Lima Memorial Health Systems.
He was born Nov. 11, 1922, in Lima to Lois (Carolus) and George Henry, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 10, 1943, he married Anna Louise Shockey, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, John Ellsworth (Anna) Henry, of Marietta; a grandson, Robert John Franklin Henry, of Marietta; a sister, Kathryn Bice, of Cridersville, and a sister-in-law, Freda Henry, of Lima.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Henry.
Ruth M. Zwiebel, 80, of Wapakoneta, died at 1:20 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Auglaize Acres in Wapakoneta.
Arrangements are incomplete at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta.
Charles E. â€˜Charleyâ€™ Webb Sr., 80, died at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Auglaize Acres in Wapakoneta.
He was born Feb. 16, 1933, in Wapakoneta, to Florence Freideger and Pearl Webb.
Surviving are a son, Charles E. â€˜Charleyâ€™ Webb Jr. of Lima; a daughter, Annette Elaine Volz, of Toledo; five grandchildren; a brother, James (Shirley) Webb, of Wapakoneta; and three sisters, Edna (Glenn) Steed, of Wapakoneta, Mary (Jack) Selover, of Turlock, Claif., and Sharon (Dave) Erb, of Arlington.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Webb.
June V. Meiring, 84, of Wapakoneta, died at 1:14 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Wapakoneta Manor, surrounded by her family.
She was born June 29, 1928, in New Knoxville, the daughter of Frances E. (Kattman) and Walter A. Kuck, who preceded her in death. She was married to Harry Meiring, and he died in 1990.
COLUMBUS — Three Redskin wrestlers ended their high school career on Saturday, all placing in the Top 6 in the State Wrestling Tournament in Columbus, Ohio.
Wapakoneta sent four seniors to the State tournament, and three of them made it to the final day of wrestling. Those three were John “JT” Martin, Holden Hengstler and Nate Valentine. Alec “AJ” Brown also traveled to the tournament, but he was eliminated on Friday.
COLUMBUS — With two days of wrestling completed, three of the four Wapakoneta Redskin wrestlers making the trip to Columbus are preparing for a Saturday morning session at the state tournament.
Wapakoneta sent four wrestlers to the 2013 OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament in Columbus, and three of them are still alive in the consolation bracket.
The four Wapakoneta Redskins at the State Wrestling Tournament didn’t want to participate in the evening session on Thursday night.
Well, that was only for the wrestlers who lost their first match.
Alec “AJ” Brown, Holden Hengstler, John “JT” Martin and Nate Valentine went 4-for-4 on the mat Thursday afternoon to move on to the Friday morning session.
