Irene Campbell, 88, formerly of Botkins, died at 5:45 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home in Spencerville.
She was born Dec. 26, 1924, in Keyo, Wis. Her adopted parents were Matilda (Holtkamp) and Ed Knierim, who preceded her in death. On March 17, 1946, she married Joseph Campbell, who died Feb. 9, 1970.
Darlene J. Hall, 78, of Wapakoneta, died at 11:07 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Lima Memorial Health System due to complications from open heart surgery.
She was born Oct. 23, 1934, in North Baltimore, the daughter of Gladys (Nungester) and Herman C. Crow Sr., who preceded her in death. On Jan. 28, 1955, she married Carl L. Hall, and he survives.

The first line of communication between the public and emergency responders, dispatchers perform a âsilent service.â
Their duties, which often go unseen by the public, are being recognized this week through Saturday, as part of National Telecommunicators Week.
Auglaize County Commissioner Don Regula read a proclamation on Thursday declaring the week of April 14 through April 20 in honor of the service provided by the seven dispatchers with the Auglaize County Sheriffâs Office. He then presented the dispatchers with a copy of the resolution.
A total cost for damage done from a vandalism incident Friday has yet to be calculated, but it will go into several thousands of dollars.
Wapakoneta City Schools administrators were forced to delay classes for two hours Friday morning after a bus mechanic found tires on several buses had been punctured. The damage was reported to the Wapakoneta Police Department at 5:58 a.m.

An annual talent show and final performance of this yearâs show by Singsation is being planned for Friday, May 3.
Cabaret features talent acts by freshman through senior show choir members, with acts to be determined next week, and concludes with Singsation members performing this yearâs final performance of their show, âThrough the Looking Glass.â
A dinner catered by Perfect Party Planning, of St. Marys, is to be served before the show beginning at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Cost for dinner and the show per person is $20. Tickets for the show only are $5.

Grace Irene Zimpfer, 86, of Jackson Center, went to be with Our Lord in Heaven at 11:48 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013, peacefully at her home.
Her family surrounded her for many weeks prior to her passing and had many special moments with her and those special talks will remain with her husband, daughters, grandchildren, and special friends forever.
Grace was born Nov. 5, 1926, to the late Ella Davis and Herbert Regula. At 5 years of age she lost her father and Ella later married John Davis Sr. on April 22, 1953.
Grace I. Zimpfer, 86, of Jackson Center, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at her home.

Roy A. âDocâ Kohler, 84, of Wapakoneta, died at 3:10 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Auglaize Acres in Wapakoneta.
He was born April 10, 1929, in Wapakoneta, the son of Violet (Crouch) and Lawrence Kohler, who preceded him in death. On Feb. 2, 1955, he married Dorothy C. Ream, and she died July 12, 1988.
Helen M. Jauert, 91, of Wapakoneta, died at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, at The Gardens of Wapakoneta.
She was born on March 22, 1922, in Spencerville, to Leona (Mack) and Alfred Sutton, who preceded her in death.
She was married to Elmer Jauert for 57 years.
She is survived by two children, Doug (Myra) Jauert, of Columbus, and Joerdis (Eric) Fisher, of Lima; three grandchildren Kurt Jauert, Scott Fisher and Nicholas Jauert; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ian Fisher.
