BASEBALL: Miscues bite Redskins

April 28, 2012

Friday night, that team was the St. Marys Roughriders.

St. Marys took advantage of a slew of miscues in the first three innings to post a 5-1 win over the rival Wapakoneta Redskins in a Western Buckeye League varsity baseball game at Wapakoneta High School.

TRACK: Hayzlett aiming for return to state

April 21, 2012

Megan Hayzlett was just a little disappointed.

Who could blame her?

Then, as a sophomore, she made it to regionals but to qualify for the state meet.

So the goal this year for the Wapakoneta Redskins junior was a simple one.

Go back.

“The big thing was our defense really came alive tonight,” Wapak varsity coach Bill Sammons said.  “I really feel like we turned a corner a little bit.”
