CELINA — The Wapakoneta Redskins grabbed a third-place finish Friday at the Celina Bulldog Girls Golf Invitational in varsity action at Fox’s Den Golf Course.
The Redskins shot a team total of 388, edging host Celina (390) for the third spot.
Wapakoneta senior Shelby Kohler finished sixth overall with an 18-hole score of 88.

The Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers varsity girls golf team notched its first win in school history Friday, tallying a 265-270 victory over the Fort Recovery Indians in a dual match played at the Mercer County Elks Country Club in Celina.
W-G started its first full girls golf season in school history this school year beginning Friday.
The Tigers were led by Kennedy Rumer and Chelsea Spencer, who each tallied a 57. Also for W-G, Elva Anne Shephard had a 71, while Hannah Williams scored an 80.
New tournament divisions for winter and spring sports were announced Thursday upon the Ohio High School Athletic Association board of directorsâ€™ regularly scheduled monthly meeting.
The board approved divisional alignments for its member schools in winter and spring sports, which will be in effect for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 school years.
Wapakoneta will remain in Division II for both boys and girls basketball. With 332 girls, Wapak was 10 shy of the cutoff for Division I schools.
Waynesfield-Goshen and Botkins will each stay in Division IV for basketball.
