Brian Garman is slated to pitch one inning Sunday in a rehab assignment for the Milwaukee Brewers’ rookie league team in Arizona.
Garman, a Wapakoneta native, has been in Phoenix, Ariz., since July 17 in order to rehabilitate a torn labrum suffered in June. He has been on the disabled list since June 24.
The Brewers have one of 13 teams in the Arizona Rookie League.
The AZL Brewers will face the AZL Athletics at 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Sunday.
The Wapakoneta Redskins won their second straight match Friday with a 217-238 win over the Bellefontaine Chieftains in varsity girls golf action at Wapakoneta Country Club.
Wapak's Shelby Kohler was the match medalist with a 47.
Finishing the scoring for Wapak were Sierra Sammons (56), Zoe Rayburn (56) and Haley Kinstle (58).
Bellefontaine's Chelsea McLaughlin led with a 49.
Sarah Hall (53), Kathleen Coakley (63) and Allie Shelley (68) concluded Bellefontaine's scoring.
The Wapakoneta Redskins shot a season-high through four tournaments Friday and finished 12th out of 21 teams Thursday at the Celina Invitational in varsity boys golf action played at Fox’s Den Golf Course in Celina.
The Redskins shot 356 as a team.
Wapak varsity coach Kenny Wayman was displeased with Thursday’s result.

The Wapakoneta Redskins did not lose a game Friday in their 5-0 win Friday over the Lima Senior Spartans in a non-league varsity girls tennis match at the Collett Street Courts in Lima.
The win was Wapak’s second by a 5-0 score and moved the team’s record to 2-0 this season.
Recording wins in singles action Friday were Kaitlin Snider (first), Kiersten Wellons (second) and Chelsea Myers (third).
