HUNTSVILLE, Ala. â MRI results will keep Brian Garman shelved indefinitely, as the testing revealed a slight tear in his labrum.
The Wapakoneta native has been on the disabled list since June 24. He is a relief pitcher for the Double-A Huntsville (Ala.) Stars in minor league baseball, an affiliate of MLBâs Milwaukee Brewers.
âMy doctors said the slight labrum tear is not consistent with a pitcherâs injury and that itâs probably an injury from football,â Garman said. âThe doctors said they donât even think (the tear) is the cause of my pain.â
BLUFFTON â Caitlyn Rostorfer and Annika Miller, competing as 8-and-under girls in the 25-meter freestyle, were the first two Wapakoneta Waves to take their place on the medal stand Friday, and at the end of the first day of competition, in combined team scores, the Waves were in second place, trailing the Westside by 125.5 points.
The Western Ohio Aquatic League Championship meet will continue today at Bluffton with the remaining four events to be swum before the trophies are handed out.
On Friday, the Waves made strong showings in a number of age groups.
