Redskins shut out Cougars in last WBL match

The Wapakoneta Redskins’ bats came alive Tuesday as they cruised to a run-rule victory in five innings.

Solid pitching from junior starter Chace Culver and home runs from a couple of seniors lifted the Redskins over the visiting Van Wert Cougars.

The Wapakoneta varsity softball team used a seven-run first inning to take care of business against the St. Marys Roughriders Friday afternoon.

Behind 13 strikeouts from Wapakoneta pitcher Renee Lovett, the Redskins cruised to victory 11-2.

Redskins fall to Minster, 13-3

After their game against the Ben Logan Raiders was called off, the Wapakoneta Redskins softball team scheduled a pick-up game against the Minster Wildcats. 

Redskin varsity coach Bill Sammons used the unexpected match-up to get his younger girls and other non-starters some playing time before tournament and the end of the season.

Outfielders all hit home runs in win over Ottawa-Glandorf

All three outfielders for the Wapakoneta Redskinsvarsity baseball team hit home runs in Tuesday’s victory against the Ottawa-Glandorf Titans.

Johnny Crawford in center field, Andrew Hines in right field and Dylan Knoch in left field combined for four RBIs on their three home runs to give the Redskins a 6-4 victory.
