The Wapakoneta Redskins Junior ACME team fell to the Crestview Knights for the second time in four days.
After falling 11-8 Tuesday in an error-filled game behind the pitching of sophomore pitchers Jon Eaton and Keaton Metz — the error bug struck again and in the same inning, the fifth.
Trailing 4-1 after surrending four unearned runs in the top of the second, the Redskins rallied in the bottom of the third to tie the score.
MINSTER — Wapakoneta strolled through most of the Auglaize County sectional ACME baseball tournament without using its best available pitcher.
When top-seeded Wapak finally pulled its ace out of the back pocket, Chace Culver was unhittable.
Culver threw five no-hit innings and reliever Dominic Campos finished off the shutout with two scoreless innings as Wapakoneta wrapped up the Auglaize County sectional ACME title with a 7-0 win over Minster on Friday night.
