After an eight-day, eight-game marathon, the Wapakoneta Redskins are sitting pretty.
Wapak upped its varsity baseball record to a perfect 7-0 with a pair of wins in the Redskin Classic on Saturday at Wapakoneta High School.
The only game in that stretch that didn’t result in a win was Friday’s matchup at Benjamin Logan. Rain cut that one short with the score tied at 1-1 in the third inning.
CELINA — The Wapakoneta Redskins varsity boys track team finished second overall at the Celina Invitational on Saturday, while the girls team finished fourth.
The host Bulldogs won both meets.
For the boys, Wapak had winners in the 110-meter hurdles (Ryan Kremer, 16.9), 100 dash (Kevin Kraft, 11.97), 300 hurdles (Kremer, 43.55), Caleb Hennon (800 run, 2:03.01) and 200 dash (Brandon Christler, 23.59).
The Redskins also won the 400 relay with a time of 45.66. They were third in the 800 relay (1:39.59)
