Two regular games and five Baker games.
That’s all that stands between the Wapakoneta Redskins varsity boys bowling team and an undefeated season.
Well, that and the equally undefeated Versailles Tigers.
Wapak and Versailles head into the final match of the West Ohio High School Bowling Conference season with identical 14-0 records. The Redskins are listed in first place based on total pins this season.
But that won’t matter when the two teams square off at 1 p.m. Saturday at 20th Century Lanes in Lima.
WAYNESFIELD — Jacob Frank scored 31 in a pair of varsity boys basketball contests over the weekend. But the Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers split the games, both at home, to fall to 6-9 on the season.
W-G lost a tough one to Northwest Central Conference foe Ridgemont as the Golden Gophers came out on top 63-57 on Friday.
With the scored deadlocked at 29-29 at halftime, Ridgemont outscored the Tigers 17-11 in the third quarter to take a six-point lead.
That would be the final margin as W-G battled but came up short of knocking off the 10-5 Golden Gophers in the fourth quarter.
