CANTON — Two one-hundredths of a second.
That was all the cushion Wapakoneta Redskins freshman Josie Miller needed to advance the finals of the girls 50-yard freestyle in the Division II state swimming meet at the C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton.
It was also all she needed to guarantee her spot in Redskins history as the only Wapakoneta individual swimmer to reach the medal stand at the state meet.
In the preliminary race on Thursday, Miller swam a 24.43 for the eighth fastest time of the day.
