February 14, 2012

LIMA — Nine Wapakoneta Redskins varsity swimmers, seven of them in multiple events, advanced to the Division II district meet thanks to their performances in the sectional meet Saturday at the Lima Family YMCA.

The district meet will be held Friday at Bowling Green State University.

Senior Ryan Kremer led the way for the Redskins.  Kremer won the 100 backstroke and is seeded sixth in that event.  He took second in the 100 butterfly, earning the No. 2 seed.

BASKETBALL: Panthers' pressure trips W-G

February 14, 2012

WAYNESFIELD — Every time the Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers made a run, the Parkway Panthers had an answer.

Eventually, the Tigers just ran out of runs.

Parkway used it’s full-court defensive pressure to slow down the up-tempo Tigers and hold on for a 66-59 win in a non-league varsity girls basketball game on Seniors Night on Monday at Waynesfield-Goshen High School.

The Panthers forced 24 W-G turnovers and kept the Tigers from attacking offensively.
