Between Connor Pickens and Aaron Smith, some fillings are going to get rattled.
Wapakoneta’s Pickens and Bath’s Smith will take center stage as the feature backs when the Redskins and the Wildcats square off at 7:30 in a Western Buckeye League football game.
In Week 2 wins, Pickens and Smith combined for 550 rushing yards and six touchdowns.
Pickens totalled 267 yards on 33 carries with two touchdowns in a 29-18 win over Elida.
The inaugural G.A. Wintzer & Son Classic PBA Central Region Tournament will have some local flavor.
When the professional bowling tour stop kicks off tomorrow, three Wapakoneta bowlers will be in the mix after their results in qualifying tournaments.
The event opens Friday afternoon with a practice session from 2:30 to 4:30 and a Pro-Am tournament at 7.
The tournament begins Saturday with two shifts of bowlers playing eight games apiece. The top 12 scores from the two shifts will advance to the final round robin, which begins Sunday at 10 a.m.
All sessions are open to the public.
