Six teams — five golfers each — and 18 holes.
And one stroke.
That’s the margin that separated the top three teams in the Auglaize County varsity boys golf tournament Wednesday at a soggy Wapakoneta Country Club.
The Minster Wildcats took the title after tying the Wapakoneta Redskins with matching team scores of 345. Under the tie-breaker rules, the match is then decided by the scores of the No. 5 golfers on each team.
Minster’s Xavier Francis turned in an 89 while Wapak’s Josh Apple carded a 96, handing the win to Minster.
