Mary A. Huber, 70, of Wapakoneta, died at 8:55 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at the St. Ritaâ€™s Medical Center, Lima, following a sudden illness. She was born April 28, 1943, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Charles & Rita (Scully) Dunleavy, and they preceded her in death. On July 4, 1964, she married Charles N. Huber, who survives.
Other survivors include, a daughter, Cheryl R. (Steve) Griffis, of Wapakoneta; two grandchildren, Charles D. & Megan E. Griffis; a sister, Colleen Dunleavy (Richard) Bekemeier, of Wapakoneta; numerous nieces and nephews.
David A. Herron, 81, of Wapakoneta, went home to be with the Lord, at 12:59 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at St. Ritaâ€™s Medical Center, Lima, following a sudden illness. He was born Jan. 25, 1932, in Wabash, Ind., the son of Merle Maurice & Alice (Agle) Herron, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 10, 1960, he married Lou Emma Brown, and she survives.
Kevin J. Jones, 56, of Clyde, formerly of Wapakoneta, died at 12:55 a.m. Dec. 10, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his loving family, following an extended illness.
He was born January 20, 1957, in Lima to J. Stanley & Mildred (Arnett) Jones, who survives in Wapakoneta.Â On Sept. 22, 1979, he married Robin L. Rider, who survives on Clyde.
John W. Staples, 58, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:57 a.m., Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at the St. Ritaâ€™s Medical Center, Lima. He was born April 6, 1955, in Lima, the son of John A. & Ruth (Brewer) Staples, who survives in Wapakoneta. On March 28, 1980, he married Cynthia R. â€śCindyâ€ť Hibner, and she survives.
Other survivors include, a daughter, Ashlie R. (Andrew) Casey, of Wapakoneta; three grandchildren, Lillie, Hannah, and Cole; a sister, Guyneth (Dean) Coolidge, of Wapakoneta; a sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Theresa (Ted) Johnson, of Brookville; nephews and niece, Tyler, Caity, and Charlie.
Donald E. Shively, 62, of rural Wapakoneta, died at 5:11 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at St. Ritaâ€™s Medical Center, Lima, following a sudden illness. He was born Oct. 12, 1951, in Lima, the son of Wavel & Anna (Huckemeyer) Shively. His mother survives in Kossuth, and his father is deceased.
Other survivors include, his life partner, Carolyn Stolzenburg; a son, Jayson E. Shively, of St. Marys; a grandson, Kayden E. Shively; two sisters, Maryann (Andy) Andrews, of Wapakoneta, and Wilma Dyer, of Kossuth; Carolynâ€™s sons, Rick & Adam Stolzenburg.
Arthur â€śArtâ€ť Helmlinger, 67, died at 3:33 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, in the emergency room at Lima Memorial Health System.
Art was born Oct. 7, 1946, in Lima to Raymond M. & Thelma T. (Martin) Helmlinger. On March 11, 1967 in Defiance, he married Janet L. Rolston, and she survives.
Dean B. Metzger, 84, of Wapakoneta, died at 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Jan. 10, 1929, in Auglaize County to Grant Edward and Ida May Thomas Metzger. He married Angela Marie Owen March 21, 1951, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 9, 1993.
Mr. Metzger had been a welder/ Trackman with CSX Transportation. He was a member of Wapakoneta First United Methodist Church, the Railroad Retirement Club, VFW Post 8445 and Eagles Aerie 691. He enjoyed gardening and sharing his harvest.
Sally L. Moellenkamp 75, departed this earth to be with her Lord on Dec. 5, 2013, following an extended illness. She was born April 18, 1938, to Carl C. and Pauline G. (Lanning) Brading, of Wapakoneta, who preceded her in death. On January 23, 1960, she married Roger D. Moellenkamp, of Wapakoneta, who survives.
James E. Fisher, 49, of Wapakoneta, died at 6:27 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born November 16, 1964, in Lima to Paul E. & Charlotte Ann (Copeland) Fisher.Â His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Wapakoneta.
He is survived by two sisters and a brother; Kimberly (Jeff) Frazier of New Jersey, Tina (Jeff) Koenig, of Pennsylvania, and John (Jodi) Fisher, of Wapakoneta; several nieces and nephews, Matthew Fisher, Danielle (Corey) Gulley, Michael Fisher, Luke Koenig, Kathryn Frazier, Sarah Koenig and Miranda Allen.
Bettie Lou Hammond, 84, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at her home.
Bettie was born on Oct. 7, 1929, in Waynesfield, to the late Nevin R. & Q. Lucille Graham Basil.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Lenhart.
