James R. âJimâ Kwiecinski, 75, of Lima, died at 10:16 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at St. Ritaâs Medical Center.
Kwiecinski was born to the late Harry and Rose (Scheboth) Kwiecinski on Oct. 12, 1938, in Pittsburgh.
He married Barbara (Klosterman) Griner Kwiecinski on Feb. 9, 1991, and she survives.
Jim Gray, 77, was born in Lima on Nov. 25, 1935, to David and Evelyn Gray. He graduated from Waynesfield H.S. and the Northwestern Business College in Lima, and also served in the Lima Branch of the National Guard.
He moved to Lady Lake in 1961 to join the citrus industry and created Grays Groves, Inc., which became Grays Orange Barn, which he owned and operated until he retired in 1997.
He was active in the community, opening three new Kiwanis Clubs and serving on the Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed golf, bowling and tennis.
Jack L. Binkley, 57, of Wapakoneta, died at 6:44 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at his home.
He was born Oct. 8, 1956, in Lima to Robert L. Binkley & Rosemary (Binkley) Steinke who preceded him in death.
On Dec. 3, 1974, he married JoAnn Fugatt, and she survives in Wapakoneta.
Survivors include a son and daughter, Toby (Tara) Binkley, of St. Johns, Season (Scott) Hurley of Tipp City; five grandchildren, Kaleb, Mackenzie, Michala, Trenton and Spencer; a brother, Bill Binkley, of Dayton.
Twila A. Stevens, 79, of Cridersville, died 9:35 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31 at Lima Memorial Health Systems. Twila was formerly of Wapakoneta. She was born April 29, 1934 in Ada to Lloyd and Bessie Mull Candler. She married Richard E. âDickâ Stevens Jan. 12, 1951, and he preceded her in death June 18, 2010.
Mrs. Stevens had been a homemaker and enjoyed antiques, baking, gardening, garage sales, playing cards and camping. She was a former girl scout leader.
Brooklynn Ann Brown was stillborn at 11:51 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at the St. Ritaâs Medical Center. She is the daughter of Cory D. and Jennifer âJenniâ L. (Haehn) Brown, and they survive in Wapakoneta.
Other survivors include, sister, Abigail Brown, at home; maternal grandparents, Sue and Kendall Krites, of Wapakoneta, and Jack and Barb Haehn, of Wapakoneta; paternal grandparents, Bill and Cathy Brown, of Wapakoneta; maternal great grandparents, Mary Ann Bell, of Coldwater, Don and Pauline Krites, of Wapakoneta, and John and Helen Haehn, of Wapakoneta,
Joseph E. Elkins, Sr., 92, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:55 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at Auglaize Acres. He was born Feb. 19, 1921, in Bourbon, Ind., the son of Charles Edward and Mary (Corl) Elkins, who preceded him in death. On May 17, 1947, he married Phyllis C. Keyser, and she survives.
Glenna Mae Meckstroth, 83, of rural New Knoxville, died peacefully at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at her residence. She was born April 22, 1930 to (Omen) Bernard and Lena (Briggs) Davenport. Her mother died when she was 7 months old. Her father took her and her brother, Donald (Mary) Davenport, of Kossuth, to move with her fatherâs parents, Frank and Nora Davenport.
On June 24, 1950, she married William A. Meckstroth, who preceded her in death.
Janice A. Myers, 77, of Cridersville, died at noon Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born Oct. 21, 1936, in Lima to Derwood and Genevieve Arnold Aspinall, who preceded her in death. She married Ned Edward Myers in 1953 who survives in Cridersville.
Taylor E. Dicke, of New Bremen, died on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 9:12 p.m. at her residence. She was born on Aug. 25, 2002 in St. Marys. She was the daughter of Joseph Dicke and Nicole (Mohler) Dicke, both of New Bremen. Survivors include her sisters Abigayle and Olivia both at home; her grandparents, Roland and Cindy Dicke, of New Bremen, and Mike and Brenda Mohler, of Wapakoneta; her great-grandparents, Eileen Yaney, of Celina, Virginia and David Poe, of Pioneer, Carolyn Pape, of New Bremen and Ona Mohler of Muncie, Mich. Also surviving is a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mildred F. Tucker Rust Carnes, 90, of Allentown, died at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013 in the Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home.
She was born April 14, 1923, in Elida, a daughter of Henry Edgar and Lucy Frances Stemen Tucker, who are deceased. Her step-father, Delbert Huey is also deceased. On Nov. 24, 1946, she married M. Devon Rust, who died June 27, 1950. Then on April 12, 1961, she married John H. Carnes, who died Aug. 19, 1989.
