Louis Heitz, 81

Father Louis S. Heitz, 81, of Cridersville, died at 9:32 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, surrounded by loving family.
Born Nov. 5, 1931, in Fort Jennings, he was the son of Rose (Stauterman) and Otto Heitz, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by three sisters, Mary (Virgil) German, Joan (George) Ross, and Betty Grace; a sister in-law, Dorothy Heitz; 21 nieces and nephews; 47 great-nieces and nephews; and 28 great-great-nieces and nephews.

Florence Copeland, 94

Florence Catherena Copeland, 94, of Jackson Center, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Auglaize Acres in Wapakoneta.
She was born April 23, 1918, in Clay Township, the daughter of the late Malinda (Kanrr) and William S. Helmlinger.
On June 29, 1940, at St. Marks Church in Clay Township, she married Clifford Emerson Copeland, and he preceded her in death May 10, 1967.

Sylvia Lengerich, 76

Sylvia M. Lengerich, 76, of Fryburg, died at 9:47 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Auglaize Acres in Wapakoneta.
She was born June 24, 1936, in Leicestershire, England, the daughter of Marie (Rose) and James Reed, who preceded her in death. On Jan. 31, 1959, at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Leicester, England, she married John G. Lengerich, and he died June 26, 2001.

Edward Hut, 65

Edward J. “John” Hut, 65, of Wapakoneta and Ft. Myers, Fla., died at 1:20 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, in Lima, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born July 17, 1947, in Wapakoneta, to Pearl (Hale) and Phillip Hut, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 30, 1973, he married Andrea Ryan, and she survives in Wapakoneta.

Paul Schumacher, 74

Paul L. Schumacher, 74, 07947 Southland Road, New Knoxville, died at 1:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at the Golden Living Center.
He was born Sept. 22, 1938, in New Weston, the son of Gertrude (Guggenbiller) and Oscar Schumacher. On Oct. 20, 1962, he married Janice Schrolucke, and she survives at the residence.

Oliver Hershberger, infant

Oliver Andrew Hershberger, infant son of Trena (Argabright) and Andrew Hershberger, of Sidney, was stillborn at 10:04 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Wilson Memorial Hospital.
In addition to his parents, Oliver is survived by a brother, Owen Hershberger (age 5), at home; maternal grandparents Carol Argabright, of Sidney, and Talford Argabright, of Jackson Center; paternal grandparents Milly and Tim Hershberger, of Wapakoneta; and great-grandparents Rowena and Lowell and Mohler, of Sidney.

Donald Ruble, 71

Donald Eugene Ruble, 71, of Belle Center, passed away at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Heartland of Bellefontaine.
He was born Jan. 27, 1942, in Belle Center, the son of the late Geraldine (Royer) and Alpha Ruble. On Dec. 31, 1960, he married the former Essie F. Butler, and she survives.

Jack L. Cramer 77, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:45 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born April 2, 1935, in St. Marys, to Helen (Taylor) and Oscar Cramer Sr., who preceded him in death.

Joseph Pickering, 86

Joseph William “Joe” Pickering, 86, of Wapakoneta, died at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born July 27, 1926, in West Alexandria, the son of Eva G. (Roach) and Karl V. Pickering, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 20, 1949, he married Joan O. Hodges, and she died Feb. 7, 2000.

Jack L. Cramer 77, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:45 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
