Betty Lou Margraves Gossard, 74, of Lima, died at 11:27 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home. ¬†She was born Nov. 18, 1939, in Middlesboro, Ky. to William Wood and Mary Marie Janeway Margraves, who preceded her in death. ¬†She married Glenn Earl Gossard on July 25, 1959, and he preceded her in death on March 22, 1993.
Betty had been a pharmacy tech at Deshers and CVS. She attended Holden Missionary Baptist Church and her family was her life.
Toni L. Fischbach, 65, of 14933 Bay Road, Wapakoneta, Ohio, died accidentally on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Greenville Falls, near Covington, Ohio.
She was born March 5, 1948, in Dayton, the daughter of Arthur ‚ÄúCurly‚ÄĚ Swank and Virginia (Johnston) Swank. She married Larry Fischbach on April 3, 1976, in Saint Marys, and he survives at the residence.
Eldon D. Bowsher, 91, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:05 a.m., Friday at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 23, 1922, in Lima, to Pearl and Clara Marie Puschel Bowhser. ¬†He married Jean M. Naumburg on June 11, 1945, and she survives in Wapakoneta.
Mr. Bowsher had been a clerk at Teledyne and had also been a carpenter and farmer. ¬†He was a member of Buckland United Church of Christ where he had held many offices. ¬†
He was a member of the Auglaize County Farm Bureau and a former board member of the Buckland School District. ¬†He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.
Marilynne J. Schroer, 85, formerly of 2208 Kensington Drive, Saint Marys, and a resident of Otterbein Saint Marys Retirement Community, died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Otterbein Saint Marys. She was born April 4, 1928, in Wapakoneta, the daughter of L.E. and Bernice (Kohler) Brandt. She married Elvin ‚ÄúGene‚ÄĚ Schroer on May 9, 1948, at Saint Mark‚Äôs Lutheran Church in Wapakoneta and he preceded her in death on March 11, 1998.
H. Jeffrey Harrod, 44, died Monday morning, Feb. 17, 2014, at his residence. He was born Feb. 17, 1970, in Lima, the son of Harold ‚ÄúBarney‚ÄĚ and Julie (Setser) Harrod. His parents survive in Wapakoneta. On April 21, 1990, he married Barbara J. Horman, and she survives.
Donald Hinegardner, 72, died at 7:07 a.m., Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, in Lima Memorial Health Care System. He was born Nov. 26, 1941, in Lima, to William and Opal Laing Hinegardner. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Lima. On June 26, 1960, he married Karen Sue Gossard, who survives in Wapakoneta.
A. Ruth Rolston, 93, of Waynesfield, went home to be with the Lord at 7:16 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, in Auglaize Acres Nursing Home. She was born July 19, 1920, in Kossuth, to the late Floyd and Lula Stiles Jacobs. On June 12, 1939, she married Glen H. Rolston, who died Nov. 17, 1982.
Mrs. Rolston was a homemaker and had worked as a process operator with Fisher Cheese. She was a member of the Waynesfield Baptist Church. She had a great love for babies, enjoyed walking, reading and picking up seashells.
Clarence U. Barhorst, 79, of Botkins, died at 4:33 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney. He was born April 15, 1934, in Minster, the son of August and Mary (Herbert) Barhorst, who preceded him in death. On Nov. 19, 1955, he married Shirley A. Nuss, and she died Nov. 27, 1998.
Mary A. Long, 63, of Wapakoneta, died at 9:54 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at her residence.
She was born in Wapakoneta on July 28, 1950, to Theodore and Wanda (Stotts) Kohler.¬† Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in Wapakoneta.
Survivors also include three sisters, Joanne Kohler, Elizabeth (Jeff) Arnold and Margaret (Mike) Schwartz; a sister-in-law, Annie Kohler; six nieces and three nephews; 11 great-nieces and eight great-nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Kohler, and a sister, Theresa Anderson.
Annamarie Faigle, 100, of Wapakoneta, died at 9:15 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014. She was born Jan. 4, 1914, in Dayton, the daughter of Otto and Katharine (Heisler) Keppler, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 7, 1946, she married Henry F. ‚ÄúHank‚ÄĚ Faigle, and he died Oct. 18, 1990.
Survivors include, a daughter, Stephanie Engelhaupt, of Botkins; two grandchildren, Matthew Engelhaupt, of Westerville, and Kendra Engelhaupt, of Nashville, Tenn. She was preceded in death by son-in-law, Wayne Engelhaupt.
