Leona Schultz, 92, of St. Marys, died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011 at St. Marys Living Center.
Arrangements are being completed with the Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys, where visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Loraine Cecillia Garee, 82, of Lima, died at 6:15 p.m., Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at her residence in Lima surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 9, 1929, in Detroit, the daughter of Evelyn (Dubeau) and Albert Durand, who are deceased. On Oct. 9, 1947, she married Robert Eugene Garee, who died on May 9, 1990.

Frederick Alan “Al” Smith, 94, of Lima, died at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at Lost Creek Care Center.
He was born March 19, 1917, in Delphos, the son of Myrtle Etna (Westenbarger) and Frederick Percival Smith. On July 21, 1961, he married Martha Jane “Janie” Chamberlin who survives in Lima.
Also surviving are three sons, Charles Smith, of Lima, Dale Alan Smith, of Wilmington, Jeffrey Courtad, of Lima; and a daughter, Janice Sliemers, of Perrysburg.
He was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Smith.
Joyce E. Kogge, 75, 211 North Vine St., St. Marys, died at 7:51 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, at St. Ritas Medical Center in Lima.
She was born Jan. 9, 1936, in St. Marys, the daughter of Lillian (Piper) and E.B. Hall. On Feb. 22, 1952, she married LeRoy Kogge and he survives at the residence.
Also surviving are four daughters: Jeri Lipp, of Celina, Nancy Moeller, of Celina, Linda McDonald, of St. Marys, and Kristine Holt, of St. Marys.
Susan L. Warner, 52, 207 S. Franklin St., New Bremen, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at her residence of natural causes.
She was born May 19, 1959, in St. Marys, the daughter of Evelyn (Gieseke) and Karl Warner.
Services will be held at a later date at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, with the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Burial will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Betty L. Schroer, 88, 519 Westhaven Drive, New Bremen, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011 at Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster.
She was born on Jan. 21, 1923, in St. Marys, the daughter of Malinda (Gieseke) and Virgil Horn. On Sept. 25, 1955, she married Curtis Schroer who survives in New Bremen.
Also surviving are a son, Dwight Schroer, of New Bremen; and a daughter, Kathleen Aufderhaar, of Bluffton.
Services are at 2 p.m. Friday at German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen, with the Rev. Stephen Wills officiating.
Carl R. “Dick” Heil, 92, of Cridersville, formerly of Wapakoneta, died at 12:20 a.m., Thursday Aug. 11, 2011, at Otterbein Cridersville.
Arrangements are incomplete at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta.
Theresa Jane “Tess” Neal, 59, died at 3:12 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, at her home in Waynesfield.
Arrangements are incomplete at Armentrout Funeral Home in Waynesfield.

Sandra K. “Katie” Phillips died at 5:20 a.m., Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Jan. 18, 1944, in Wapakoneta to Violet (Grothaus) and Eugene “Red” Dill who preceded her in death. On Feb. 22, 1964, she married William I. Phillips who survives in St. Johns.
Arthur D. Pursley, 76, of Madison, died 5:20 p.m., Monday, July 25, 2011, at Madison Health Care. He was born Feb. 24, 1935 in Lima, to Rose Ethel (Hatcher) and Lorenzo Dow Pursley. Both parents are deceased.
Mr. Pursley retired from the U. S. Air Force and had worked for NAS.
Survivors include one brother, Jim (Nadean) Pursley, of Vista, Calif., and a sister, Cecilia Hicks, of Forest.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Leonard and Benie Pursley; and sisters, Elsie Secor, Viola Stough, Jane Pursley Hoyt, Mary Louise Pursley and Betty Painter.
