Mary H. Helmstetter, 87, 603 W. South St. St. Marys, died at 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born July 5, 1924, in St. Marys, the daughter of Helen (Werts) and August Wieser. On Aug. 9, 1947, in St. Marys, she married Ferd A Helmstetter, who died Oct. 31, 1982.
Surviving are three sons, James Helmstetter, of Pittsburgh, Thomas Helmstetter, of Holland, Mich., and David Helmstetter of Charleston, W. Va.; and a daughter, Kathy Crosiar, of Springfield.

Myrtle Mae Lietz, 92, formerly of 601 S. Main St., St .Marys, and a resident of the St. Marys Living Center, died at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at the St. Marys Living Center.
She was born May 6, 1919, in Clay Township, Augalize County, the daughter of Nancy (Brackney) and Osborn Dudgeon. On Dec. 16, 1939, she married Ned Lietz and he preceded her in death on July 21, 1999.

Buddy M. Dials, 70, 911 W. Spring St., St. Marys, died at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at his residence.
He was born July 13, 1941, in Martin County, Ky., the son of Orgie (Meade) and Abslon Dials. On June 24, 1976, in Columbus, he married Nancy L. Shofstall, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Bonnie Carter, of Columbus, Tammy Stubbs, of Columbus, and Tina McCoy, of Columbus.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys, the Rev. Kenneth Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Buckland Cemetery.

Georgianna H. Knoch, 83, of St. Johns, died at 12:39 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at the Lima Memorial Health System Emergency Room.
She was born June 16, 1928, in St. Johns, the daughter of Charlotte (Rosell) and Everet Eugene Bush, who preceded her in death. On June 22, 1944, she married Allen Wayne Knoch, and he died Feb. 26, 2009.
Barbara Ann Kowell, 72, of Chesterfield, died Wednesday at Community Hospital in Anderson after an extended illness.
She was born March 28, 1939, in Lima, the daughter of Eva May Neal and Orval Ambler.

Rose M. Chiazza, 86, of Cridersville, died at 3:05 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at the Otterbein Nursing Home in Cridersville.
She was born Sept. 24, 1924, in California, Pa., to Rose (Masaresi) and Philip DiFilippo. On July 2, 1949, she married Samuel L. Chiazza, who died June 27, 2010.

Kathryn G. “Kathy†Welker, 58, of Wapakoneta, died peacefully at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at the St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima surrounded by her family.
She was born March 23, 1953, in Lima, the daughter of Emmagene (Keller) and William “Bill†Cool. Her mother, Emmagene Kennedy survives in Wapakoneta, and her father is deceased. On March 19, 1983, she married Thomas C. Welker, Sr., and he survives.
