Betty June Hurley, 80, of Wapakoneta, died at 6:25 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, in Heartland of Waterville Nursing Home.
She was born May 22, 1931 in Spencerville, the daughter of Bernice May Logan and Melvin David Richardson. Both parents are deceased. On May 14, 1947, she married the Rev. Donald E. Hurley, who survives at Otterbein-Cridersville Retirement Community.
Janet S. Mackenbach, 64, 12012 Evans Road, Mendon, died at 9:55 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born Dec. 1, 1946, in Buckland, the daughter of Leota (King) and Gerald Shoffstall. On April 20, 1964, in Wapakoneta, she married Thomas A. Mackenbach, who died Oct. 5, 2006.
Iva Jean Gibson, 77, 111 Clearview Court, St. Marys, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at Golden Living Center in St. Marys.
She was born Jan. 14, 1934, in Middlesboro, Ky., the daughter of Woodie (Webb) and Rubin Burns. On June 10, 1954, she married Kenneth Gibson and he died Jan. 20, 2000.
Surviving are a son, Gary Gibson, of St. Marys, and a daughter, Lisa Coats, of Scottsburg, Ind.
Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Samaria Missionary Baptist Church in St. Marys, with the Rev. Denny Hunter officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Sandra Kay “Sandy” Shelley, 67, of Wapakoneta, died at 6:43 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born April 7, 1944, in Lima, the daughter of Elizabeth J. (VanScoder) and Thomas J. Pickering, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 1, 1966, she married Ralph Lee Shelley, and he died Jan. 17, 1996.

Dr. Herbert C. Topp, 72 of Mechanicsburg, passed away, Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 due to an automobile accident.
He was born Aug. 1, 1939 in New Bremen.
For over 47 years he was the owner and operator of the Mechanicsburg Veterinary Clinic. His survivors include his wife, Helen, his son, Douglas A. (Barbara), his daughter, DiAnn (William) McMillen, four grandchildren; his brothers, Marvin (Linda) and Thomas, his sisters, Martha (Paul) Ewing and Doris (Jerry) Carr and several nieces and nephews.

Janice “Janet” Elaine Seibert, 74, 106 N. Main Street, Mendon, died at 9:37 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011 at her residence.
She was born Aug. 9, 1937 in St.Marys, the daughter of Golda (Goodwin) and William Rupert.
She was married to Larry Seibert, who is deceased.
She is survived by a daughter, Pam Lawson of Mendon.
She was preceded in death three daughters: Christine Gilliland, Darlene Seitz and Cheryl Caudill.
Services are sat 4 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys, with the Rev. Steve Coburn officiating.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
October 25th
Virgil D. Hudson, 96, of St. Marys Township, died at 5:50 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at Golden Living Center – Valley in St. Marys.
He was born January 23, 1915, in rural Auglaize County, to Louise (Hoewischer) and Albert Hudson. On May 9, 1948, in St. Marys, he married Esther G. Prueter, who died Nov. 15, 1975.
He is survived by a daughter, Connie Sue Backlund, of Flat Rock, N.C.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Wayne Street United Methodist Church in St. Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Corinne ‘Corky’ Arlene Youngs, 85,, of Celina, passed away Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011, at St. John’s Hospital in Anderson, Ind.
She was born Oct. 24, 1925, in St. Marys, to the late Ruby (Minckley) and Cecil Mallory. On May 1, 1945, she married William T. Youngs, who died Sept. 21, 2002.

Virgil D. Hudson, 96, of St. Marys, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at Golden Living Center-Valley in St. Marys.

C. Louise Zimmerman, 96, of Elmcroft Retirement Center in Lima, formerly of Spencerville, died at 10:33 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born Aug. 10, 1915, in Van Wert County, the daughter of Evelynn Marguerite (Gorslene) and Karl Dewitt Hirn. On March 10, 1934, she married Arthur F. Zimmerman, who died March 3, 2000.
Surviving is a son, Richard A. (Mary) Zimmerman, of Spencerville.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Reed.
