Jean M. Lewis, 73, died suddenly after a brave fight against a very aggressive cancer on Nov. 3, 2011 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. She had recently returned to Bluffton to enjoy her retirement.
She was born on Aug. 30, 1938, the daughter of Catherine and Charles Bernard Lewis Bockrath.
Dale Eversman, 30, of rural New Bremen, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011 at his residence.

Lawrence M. Laveen, 73, 11675 Wapak-Freyburg Road, Wapakoneta, formerly of Sidney, died at 8:34 a.m. Wednesday, Nov., 2, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born on Dec. 1, 1937, in Columbus, the son of the late Virginia (Sexauer) and Daniel “Pat” H. LaVeen. On July 20, 1958, he was married to Emily Ann Cunningham. On Nov. 6, 1969, he was married to Della Marie Kindle. On March 15, 1972, he was married to Marjorie Johnson. On Oct. 21, 1978, he was married to Darlene Hefner. On Dec. 19, 1988, he married Carole (Warner) Eversman, who survives him.
Donna J. Haines, 80, 1414 Nagel Street, St. Marys, died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, in Saint Marys, following a brief illness.
She was born Jan. 18, 1931, in St. Marys, the daughter of Adrian “Hap” and Grace (Langsdon) Howell.
She married Richard Haines II on June 10, 1951, and he survives at the residence.
She is also survived by a daughter, Deborah Stienecker, of St, Marys; and a son, Richard Haines III, of St. Marys.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ronald Howell.
Donald E. Shroyer, 64, of Wapakoneta, died at 12:25 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born April 5, 1947, in Bellefontaine, the son of Jennie (Miller) and Donald C. Shroyer, who preceded him in death. On Jan. 14, 1967, he married Patricia K. Evans, and she survives in Wapakoneta.

Ivan C. Klopfenstein, 76, of Wapakoneta, died at 11:58 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

Ruth L. (Wollam) Casanova, 84, Douglassville, Pa., formerly of Norton, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
She was born in Hood River, Ore., the daughter of Gail (Hamilton) and Harry Wollam. She married Albert J. Casanova, who is deceased.
She was preceded in death by a son.
Private service will be held and a date was not released. Burial will follow at Hamilton Bethel Cemetery near Mendon.

Anne Prueter, 86, of 1315 Kimberly Drive, St. Marys, and a longtime resident of Perrysburg, died at 9:46 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at the Gardens of Celina.
She was born April 4, 1925, in Waynesfield, the daughter of Addie (Coolidge) and P. L. Pepple. On March 23, 1947, she married Albert “Tiny” Prueter and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2005.
Ruth Wollam Cassonova, 84, formerly of Mendon, died Sunday, Oct. 30, in Pottstown, Pa.
