Karl Eugene Naseman Jr., 84, of Botkins, went to be with the Lord at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday Sept. 30, 2014, at Wapakoneta Manor.
He was born on December 1, 1929, in Montezuma, Ohio, to Carl Sr. & Hazel (Trippy) Naseman who preceded him in death.
Jack Edward Peterson, age 87, passed away at McLaren Hospital in Petoskey, Michigan, on Sept. 29, 2014, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his daughter, Robyn Ruth Scott (Dr. Norman) and his two sons, Eric Ray Peterson (Janet) and Randy Jack Peterson, two grandchildren, Briana Becker Stolley (Oliver) and John Eric Peterson (Megan) and three great grandchildren, Sophia Ruth and Samuel Logan Stolley and Nora Ann Peterson.
Gerald D. “Watermelon” Keller, 78, of rural Spencerville, died 1:10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, at his residence, following an extended illness, with his family at his side. He had been a Spencer Twp. Trustee for the past 12 years.
Charles E. Stonehill, 86, of Wapakoneta, died at 3:10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26 at his residence. He was born Jan. 8, 1928, in Orange Twp., Hancock County Ohio to the late Swan Doyal and Harriett Mary Ewing Stonehille. He married Evelyn I. Stemen July 3, 1958 and she survives in Wapakoneta.
Richard (Rick) H. Bowersock, 62, of New Castle, Colo., died Sept. 18, 2014, after a short battle with cancer.
He was born Jan. 28, 1952, the son of Harvey and Dorothy (Metzger) Bowersock. He married Amy Roediger, who survives in Wapakoneta, with whom they have three children. He then married Danita Lee, who survives in New Castle.
Ferrell Wayne Spencer, 75, of De Graff, Ohio, passed away Sunday Sept. 21, 2014, at the Kobacker Care Center Hospice in Columbus. He was born March 31, 1939, in Waynesfield, the son of Stanley and Mary Ann (Gossard) Spencer.
Mr. Spencer was a member of the Mt. Tabor Church of God, a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran, and retired from Superfoods/Nash Finch. He loved spending time with his family and friends for meals and fellowship.
Martha Christine Simmons, 97, of St. Marys, formerly of Princeton, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community.
Alma Lee Rhodes, 78, of 14047 Glynwood–New Knoxville Road in rural St. Marys, died at 10:59 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, at her residence. She was born Sept. 7, 1936, in Little Clear Creek, near Pineville, Ky., to Robert Eual and Verda (Partin) Webb.
On Dec. 18, 1954, in Jellico, Tenn., she married Matt S. Rhodes, who survives.
Patricia L. Libbee, 83, of 20340 Middle Pike, Wapakoneta, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014, at 8:45 p.m., at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. She was born Sept. 9, 1931, in Sidney, the daughter of Nicholas and Helen (Sherman) Romaker and they are deceased. She was married on May 17, 1952, to Gordon S. Libbee, and he survives in Wapakoneta.
Richard E. Miller, 70, of rural Wapakoneta, died at 8:25 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, at Wapakoneta Manor. He was born Dec. 29, 1943, to the late Arlie E. and Marie E. (Brincefield) Miller. On May 18, 1974, he married Wavalene Bowsher, who survives.
Mr. Miller had been a custodian for the Wapakoneta City School system. He was a member of Eagles Lodge, Aerie 691 and Labor's Union 329. He had served in the National Guard and was a NASCAR fan.
