Lura M. “Sue” Kantner, 96, of Wapakoneta, died at 9:50 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born on Oct. 15, 1918, in Anna, to J.W. and Emma (Zwiebel) Heiland, who preceded her in death.
On Nov. 13, 1937, she married Eugene “Gene” Kantner, and he passed away on Nov. 11, 1980.
Franklin D. Melton, 80, of Lima, died at 2:23 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born April 28, 1934, in Calumet City, Ill., to the late Lester and Virginia Shields Melton. He married Sylvia Buswell on March 8, 1956, in Nashua, N.H., and she survives in Lima.
Brian Michael Stolzenburg, 29, of Harrod, died at 3:23 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, of injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident at state Route 67 and state Route 235 in Hardin County.
He was born on March 26, 1985, in Bellefontaine, to Mark A. (Jackie) Stolzenburg and Linda L. Martin. His father survives in Harrod and his mother survives in Fort Recovery.
Ruby L. Shepherd Monsanto Kinninger, 91, of Wapakoneta, died at 1:36 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, at Auglaize Acres. She was born July 3, 1923, in Lima, the daughter of Samuel Elzy and Myrtle Ann (Maxwell) Shepherd, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 11, 1965, she married Bob Kinninger, Sr., and he died May 11, 1978.
Regina M. Ritter, 91, of Wapakoneta, died at 4:48 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, at Auglaize Acres. She was born Jan. 8, 1923, in Auglaize County, the daughter of William P. and Cora A. (Presar) Ritter, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Jean Ritter, of Wapakoneta, a nephew and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Marion and Frederick “Fritz” and a sister, Hilda Ritter.
Sally A. Singleton, 76, of Wapakoneta, died at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, at Auglaize Acres. She was born Feb. 28, 1938, the daughter of James J. and Donna M. (Croushorn) Singleton, who preceded her in death.
Maxine Ball, 83, of Wapakoneta, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at 11:33 a.m., at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 15, 1931, in Middlesboro, Ky., to the late Howard and Lillie Jones Evans. On Sept. 9, 1950, she married Shelby Monday, who died Nov. 20, 1970. On Nov. 27, 1972, she married Harold J. Ball, who died March 27, 2010.
Until her death, Maxine was working at Cridersville Health Care. She enjoyed working with the people there and residents. Her hobbies included camping, fishing, cooking, and most of all she loved her family dearly.
Violet M. “Vi” Maxson, 87, of Wapakoneta, died at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at her residence with her family at her side. She was born Jan. 20, 1927, in Shawano County,Wis., the daughter of Julius and Rose (Westphal) Malueg, who preceded her in death. On April 2, 1947, she married Stanley R. Maxson, and he survives.
Carol Kay Koch, 73, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:13 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born in Lyons, Ind. on July 27, 1941, to Ralph and Iva Perkins, who preceded her in death. On Aug. 16, 1964, she married Dean A. Koch and he passed away in 1986.
James L. “Wally” Watercutter, 53, of rural Cridersville, died Monday morning, Oct. 6, 2014, at his residence. He was born Aug. 26, 1961, in Lima, the son of Leonard and Eileen (Smith) Watercutter, who preceded him in death.
