Hanley E. Evans, 73, of 1025 Hendricks Ave. in St. Marys, died at 2:50 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2014, at his residence. He was born April 18, 1941, in Fonde, Ky., to Richard and Doshie (Snodgrass) Evans, Sr. On May 8, 1971, in Sidney, he married Elaine L. Lynch, who survives.

Louise E. Neuman, 80

Louise E. Neuman, 80, of Wapakoneta, died at 8:40 a.m., Monday, April 28, 2014, at the Auglaize Acres. She was born Dec. 14, 1933, in Allen County, the daughter of Cloyd and Iona (Hager) Sakemiller, who preceded her in death. On April 18, 1952, she married G. Delbert Neuman, and he died on Sept. 11, 1999.

Richard D. ‘Dick’ Emrick, 84

Richard D. ‘Dick’ Emrick, 84, of Cridersville, died at 7:15 a.m., Thursday, April 24, 2014, at his residence. He was born Aug. 10, 1929, in Union Township, Auglaize County, to Earnest Clay and Norma Hemmert Emrick. He married Shirley Maxine Thrush on Oct. 7, 1951, and she survives in Cridersville.

Dick was a member of Cridersville United Methodist Church and V.F.W. Post 8445, Wapakoneta, and a former member of Brands Lake Fishing Club and Eagles Lodge, Aerie 691. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and had been a maintenance repairman for the U.S. government.

Barrett G. Kemp, 82

Barrett G. Kemp, 82, of 08304 Kruse Road, Wapakoneta, Ohio, died at noon on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born Feb. 22, 1932, in Dayton, the son of Barrett M. and Gladys (Linkhart) Kemp. He first married Patricia Picard and she preceded him in death. He then married Shirley Glass McEvoy and she preceded him in death.

Harold D. Manning, 75

Harold D. Manning, 75, of Wapakoneta, died at 9:40 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Wapakoneta Manor. He was born July 20, 1938, in Anderson County, Tenn., the son of Clyde and Vicy (Creekmore) Manning, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include, his former wife, Agnes Lowe Manning, of Wapakoneta; two children, Peggy (Stewart) Bowersock and Kenneth R. Manning, both of Wapakoneta; two grandchildren, Matthew (Brittani) Bowersock, stationed at Camp Pendleton, and Rachel Bowersock, of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Manning, and a sister, Betty Lou Manning.

Dr. Robert F. “Doc” Baker, 96

Dr. Robert F. “Doc” Baker D.V.M., 96, of Wapakoneta, died at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Otterbein Cridersville.

He was born on Dec. 16, 1917, in Buckland, Ohio, to Marion Franklin and Leona (Wheeler) Baker, who preceded him in death.  On Sept. 27, 1939, he married Mary Kathryn Place and she passed away on Sept. 29, 2011.

Max Benny Hunsicker, 79

Max Benny Hunsicker, 79, of Wapakoneta, died at 11:05 a.m., Monday, April 21, 2014, at Wapak Manor Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 17, 1934, to George and Lottie Prater Hunsicker; both parents preceded him in death. On June 12, 1954, he married Betty Pruitt, who preceded him in death on March 16, 2013. Mr. Hunsicker was a retired electronics repairman.

Elden L. “Red” Stolzenburg, 87

Elden L. “Red” Stolzenburg, 87, of St. Marys, formerly of Wapakoneta, died at 9:44 a.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital emergency room, in St. Marys. He was born April 11, 1927, in Wapakoneta, the son of Henry and Alpha (Myers) Stolzenburg, who preceded him in death. On June 19, 1947, he married Mary Fogt, and she died Jan. 8, 2002. He later married Carol McDonald, and she survives.

Nancy A. Koeper, 68, of 800 Bryarly Circle, Saint Marys, Ohio, died at 10:57 p.m. on Sunday, April 20, 2014, at Lima Memorial Hospital following a short illness. She was born Aug. 5, 1945, in Lima, the daughter of Melvin and Mildred (Thuman) Luedeke. She married Kenneth Koeper on Sept. 21, 1963, at Saint Paul’s United Church of Christ in New Bremen.

Doloros M. Diegel Katterhenry, 100

Doloros M. Diegel Katterhenry, 100, of rural Wapakoneta, died at 5:15 p.m., Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014, at her residence with by her family by her side. She was born July 3, 1913, in Washington Township, Auglaize County, the daughter of Henry and Clara (May) Diegel, who preceded her in death. On June 12, 1938, she married Albert E. Katterhenry, and he died Sept. 2, 1972.
