Margaret C. Elsass, 100, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at the Wapakoneta Manor.
She was born Dec. 25, 1912, to Mary Anne and George Loegel, who preceded her in death. On April 8, 1934, she married Vernon “Bill” Leroy Elsass, and he preceded her in death on Jan 4, 1982.

Marian Smith, 89

Marian I. Smith, 89, 307 Stinebaugh Drive, Wapakoneta, died peacefully at 12:15 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 5, 1923, in Buckland, to Vera (Stout) and Oscar Sprague, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 6, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pa., she married Thomas A. Smith, who survives.

Frieda N. Siegenthaler, 85, of West Liberty, died at 8:33 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Mary Rutan Hospital, in Bellefontaine. Born Feb. 19, 1928, in Columbus, the daughter of the late Nelle (Hagans) and Herman Carl Kaestner. On Nov. 24, 1946, she married Vaughn Leland Siegenthaler and he preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 1991.

George Harris Jr., 85

George William “Bill” Harris Jr., 85, 02916 Greenville Road, St. Marys, died at 8:35 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 10, 1927, in Buckland, to Vera (Burden) and George William Harris Sr., who preceded her in death. On July 28, 1946, in Covington, Ky., he married Kathryn M. “Kate” Harris, who died Nov. 11, 2007.

Rachel Doseck, 21

Rachel A. Doseck, 21, of Botkins, died at 9:42 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the Cleveland Clinic when God took her home to be with him after her second heart transplant.
She was born Jan. 13, 1992, in Lima, to Teresa (Foster) and John Doseck, who survive in Botkins.

Gary D. Sheipline, 72

Gary D. Sheipline, 72, of Wapakoneta, and Nokomis, Fla., died unexpectedly of heart failure Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Venice Regional Hospital, in Venice, Fla.
Gary’s family consisted of his wife, Madelaine, and his brother, Larry (Karen) Sheipline, of Hershey, Pa. His parents, Leonard and Fredonia Sheipline, preceeded him in death.

James A. LaMarr, 75

James A. LaMarr, 75, of Waynesfield, died Wednesday afternoon, June 19, 2013, at Indian Lake, while boating.
He was born Aug. 19, 1937, in Allen County, the son of Gladys (Fullerton) and Edgar LaMarr, who preceded him in death. He was married to Sandra LaMarr, and she died Aug. 28, 1995.
Survivors include, three children, David LaMarr, of Florida, Paul LaMarr, of Australia, and Jennifer LaMarr, of Lubbock, Texas; six grandchildren; a brother, Dennis (Linda) LaMarr, of Wapakoneta; a sister, Judy (Terry) Rinehart, of Waynesfield; and a sister-in-law, Virginia LaMarr, of Wapakoneta.

Roger L. Metz, 80

Roger L. Metz, 80, 16487 State Route 274, Botkins, passed away at 3:15 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2013, at Cridersville Health Care Center, in Cridersville.
He was born on Sept. 19, 1932, in Anna, the son of the late Sadie (Herring) and Charles Metz. On Sept. 15, 1956, he married Carolyn (Helmlinger) Metz, who survives.

Esther J. Wical, 85

Esther J. Wical, 85, of Botkins, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013, at 5:54 p.m. at Dorothy Love Retirement Community.
She was born on Jan. 29, 1928, in Franklin Township, Shelby County, the daughter of the late Ora (Billing) and Alfred Knasel. She married M. “Wayne” Wical on Jan. 22, 1964, and he died on August 29, 1980.
She is survived by her two children, Jennifer L. Wical and Jeffery W. Wical, both of Botkins; a brother, Paul (Ingrid) Knasel, of North Brook, Ill.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, who all had a special place in her heart.
